ISAS Tennis

Hi ISAS Members,

Well the weather predicts another crappy rainy weekend! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they can't predict shit and the weather will be amazing! If so I am scheduling tennis for Saturday at 3 pm at the South Loop courts (under the roosevelt bridge). If it can't be done this weekend tennis will be moved to next weekend. Hope you can make it!

Last Weekend

Hi Friends,

Well we had a weird rainy Saturday but thanks to those of us who braved the weather. We had a great time running around the park playing hackeysack, catch, and baseball and doing yoga lakeside thanks to yogi Alex. Thank you Alex, Christine, Gabe, John and BJ for coming by.

Baseball

Hi Everyone,

As promised this Saturday the 19th will be baseball!!! I've had a lot of great responses about people wanting to play so I hope you can all make it. I am very low on equipment, I have as follows: 3 baseballs, 1 softball bat, and 2 gloves for Tom and me. So please bring your own gloves and any extras so we can share. Also please email me if you would like to play I have no idea who is coming and would like to get a good count. Meeting at the Lincoln Park. Take the red line to Sheridan go east on Irving Park Road straight to the park and follow the signs to the baseball diamonds.

Baseball!

Hey Sportsfans,

Next Saturday, April 19th is BASEBALL!!!  We will be playing at the Lincoln Park on the North Side (see below for directions).  Meet up time is 2:00pm sharp at the baseball diamonds.  I'm going to try to buy some equipment this weekend but if you have any we can use please let me know.  And as always, comment back on this blog if you can make it.  I'm aiming for two full teams (18 people) so call all your friends!!

Caroline

Directions:
Take the red line to the Sheridan stop and walk east on Irving Park Road until you get to the park.  There are signs for where the baseball diamonds are but I think they are just South of the tennis courts.  Or you can get off at Addison and walk east to the park but its harder to cross over.  Address is 2045 N. Lincoln Park West 60614.  That isn't baseball diamond accurate but its the best I could find.  See you there!!!

Weather Update

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately it looks like this weekend (April 12th) is going to be snowy and rainy so I am officially postponing ISAS until next weekend when it should be sunny and warm. That weekend will be Baseball. I don't have any baseball equipment so please let me know if you have something we can play with. I haven't decided on a location yet but our choices so far are Grant Park or The Lincoln Park. Let me know your preference and I will decide based on majority. Also for baseball we need a bare minimum of 5 people per team (3 basemen, catcher, pitcher) so please tell all your friends! Contact me via email: isasclub@gmail.com or by phone (312)315-0656. If you are interested in playing just add a comment to this blog or the next one when I will post specifics.

Thank you everyone!

Capture the Flag

Hi All,

Thanks to everyone (Adam, Erin, John, Graham, Reuben, Tom and Gabe) who came out for Capture the Flag . We all had a great time and I think we all feel very sore from all the running around. Next weekend it looks like its going to snow and rain but if things look better we'll do baseball. I will keep you posted.
